Dubai Parenting

Every Parent Deserves a Few Hours. Here's How Babysitting at Kids Hub Works.

In other countries, you'd call your mum. Or your sister. Or the neighbour who's known your child since birth. In Dubai, a trusted babysitter can give you those few hours back.

The Call You Can't Make

In the country you grew up in, there was probably someone you could call. Your mum. Your sister. The neighbour who's known your child since birth. Someone who could be there in 20 minutes so you could go to the dentist, take a work call, or just sit somewhere quiet for an hour.

In Dubai, most of us don't have that person. And that's not a small thing. It's the thing that makes everything else harder.

What Parents Actually Feel

When most parents in Dubai consider a babysitter for the first time, they feel a mix of relief that the option exists and natural concern about whether their child will be happy.

Both are completely understandable. And both deserve a straight answer.

The relief: yes, having support matters. Parenting is a team effort, and every family benefits from trusted people in their child's life.

The reassurance: your child having a joyful few hours in a safe, engaging space is a sign of healthy confidence. It's called secure attachment. And you built it.

"Your child having a joyful few hours without you is not a sign that they don't need you. It's a sign that they feel secure enough to be without you. That's called attachment. And you built it."

How Babysitting at Kids Hub Works

Our team focuses mainly on activities, programmes, events and entertainment, so group drop-off is not always available. It works best during our camp periods. Outside camps, babysitting is available as an additional service from Smart Babysitters, a highly rated babysitting company with a strong reputation in the market.

  • Book ahead: fill in the short booking form on our babysitting page. It opens WhatsApp with your request ready to send to Smart Babysitters, who confirm your sitter and time.
  • Price: Babysitting by Smart Babysitters is AED 500 for up to 4 hours, then AED 75 for each additional hour. This is all-inclusive (babysitting, return transportation for the babysitter and 5% VAT) with no hidden charges, in addition to your child's Kids Hub entrance fee. Minimum booking is 4 hours. One babysitter can care for a maximum of two children, depending on their ages and individual care requirements.
  • At Kids Hub or at home: your sitter can stay with your child while they play at Kids Hub, or look after them at your home or hotel.
  • Kids Hub entry: Kids Hub is a soft play playground and your child's entry applies as usual (single entry or membership). The sitter enters free of charge and wears grip socks.

Getting Your Child Ready

Not ready yet? That's okay. Come for a regular play session together first. Let your child get to know the space. Build familiarity. Try stepping away for 10 minutes, then 30. There's no rush and no pressure.

The booking form also asks what helps your child feel calm, their routines and how they usually feel with new people, so your sitter can make the first minutes easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child cries when I leave. Should I still book a sitter?

Separation distress is completely normal up to age 4 and sometimes beyond. Many children settle once they are busy playing. Start with shorter times apart, share what comforts your child in the booking form, and talk to Smart Babysitters about what will work best for your family.

How do I know my child is ready?

If your child can separate from you for short periods, at a friend's home, with a grandparent, at nursery, they're likely ready. Build it gradually. Trust the process and trust your child.
